Something great to see is how makeup brands have become more inclusive in who they choose to represent their brands. Recently, CoverGirl announced one of its new ambassadors for the So Lashy! mascara campaign is Muslim vlogger Nura Afia! Nura will be alongside James Charles, the first male brand representative, in this campaign.
Nura told Refinery29 “I hope [this campaign] will show Muslim women that brands care about us as consumers and we’re important, especially hijabis”. It is fantastic that different groups can feel represented and feel included in the diversity of the United States.
