Hi Fashom world,
I am so sure that everyone has good friends, and you would like to spend time together, taking photos and uploading them to social media. That’s what Kate Wasley and Georgia Gibbs did. But Georgia Gibbs’ photo went viral and she was accused of photo shopping her friend to look bigger. However, this is not true.
Kate Wasley and Georgia Gibbs are real best friends; they exercise and eat very similar things. They live in the same city. They earn money doing the same job. The only difference, they say, is their body shape, with Miss Wasley in size 16 and Miss Gibbs in size 6.
After the accusation, the two girls decided to open a joint Instagram account to promote positive body image, and the account has 46,000 followers already. ‘We want girls and women to stop comparing themselves to others because we are all so uniquely beautiful in our own way,” said Miss Wasley.
Their Instagram is actually encouraging girls, especially those in plus-size. They might be afraid to post their photos, especially when they are with their more beautiful and slimmer friends. But this should not be the case anymore. The size doesn’t matter as long as you are healthy, positive and enjoying your life.
The real life should not be destroyed by what size you are. And size is definitely not the standard to make friends.
