In fashion, many trends come and go with the seasons. Some are great, some should have never happened, but here is one that Fashom hopes is here to stay: men in heels.

Granted, they’re boots, but this is a trend that is growing in popularity every season. Breaking the stereotypes of what every man should wear is what we live for here at Fashom, which is why seeing stars like Bieber and Kanye bend the fashion rules is so exciting.

Unbothered by gender restrictions when dressing, Styles, and Bieber have been spotted often roaming the streets in women’s clothing, kilts, skinny jeans, etc., on many occasions. The likes of Luka Sabbat, Jaden Smith, Post Malone, and A$AP Rocky have also emerged a part of the group showing off the comfortable amount of heel for a man.

As a look that has been reserved for the rich, edgy rock stars in the past such as Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Steve Tyler, and many more, it appears that heels in menswear is up and coming for the ‘common man’. With the emergence of Chelsea boots in Fall 2016, one could argue that the next step would be more men donning boot silhouettes made famous by Saint Laurent in the modern era.

In terms of new trends this an interesting one. Who’s to say how long it lasts, but if you’re willing to squeeze into those skinny jeans and stand a couple inches taller, you could be the most stylish guy in your crew right now.
